9-1-1: Is Lone Star Ending With Season 5? Here’s What the Cast Says

9-1-1: Lone Star fans have never been more anxious, and we can’t blame them.

After being off the air for more than a year due to a writers’ and actors’ strike,

Fox has finally released an explosive trailer for the show’s delayed 12-episode fifth season, which is set to premiere this fall. But even that is bittersweet, as it seems increasingly likely that this will be the last season viewers get to see their favorite first responders.

Rumors of the show’s impending end began circulating last month, with Deadline reporting that several cast members were looking for new opportunities; the cast’s options were reportedly announced on July 19, which is when production on Season 5 officially wrapped. News that original cast member Sierra McClain (Grace Ryder) has left the show after contract negotiations fell through has only added to fans’ concerns.

Neither Fox nor 20th Television have confirmed whether Season 5 will be the last for 9-1-1: Lone Star, but recent social media posts from some of the show’s stars are making fans nervous—including one series regular who looked back fondly on the past five years, before hinting at “a lot of changes coming.”

Read on for the full breakdown of what the cast of 9-1-1: Lone Star has posted about Season 5 on social media, much of which suggests that we should enjoy our time with Owen’s crew while we still can. When you’re done watching, leave your thoughts in the comments below. If 126 is coming to an end, what do you hope to see in the show’s final season?

It’s impossible not to read between the lines in this Instagram story, courtesy of Natacha Karam, who plays adrenaline junkie Marjan: “Eight more days of shooting after five years on a show is a wild feeling,” she recently posted, accompanied by a broken heart emoji. emoji. “So many changes coming.”

An Instagram story from the set revealed a note left by Jackson Pace (aka Wyatt, Judd’s estranged son), implying a goodbye.

“Thank you for making me feel at home these past few years!” the note read. “Finding my long-lost dad, going to jail, having a baby, dropping out of college, having a life-changing accident. … It was so much fun doing it all with you!”

As for the blocked portion of Pace’s note, it could be about his character becoming a firefighter, which Wyatt was pursuing before his accident.

Brian Michael Smith (aka Paul) recently shared a link to the “Save 9-1-1 Lone Star” petition on his Instagram story. While this isn’t proof of cancellation by any means, it’s not a good sign when fans and cast members feel the need to rally for a renewal.

Robyn Lively, who plays Marlene, the mother of Judd’s estranged child, has reportedly deleted a social media post that originally read, “So excited to be on the final season of @911lonestar!! What an amazing ride!”

While it’s entirely possible that Lively was simply misinformed, it seems like she assumed news of the final season had already been announced when she made this post.
