Sheriff Country being set in the same town as Fire Country makes crossovers a certainty, even with the shows being filmed on opposite sides of Canada. With the focus being on Mickey and, by extension, her and Sharon’s family, it’s highly likely they will make an appearance. This can finally bring back two obscure characters from Fire Country season 1.
Sheriff Country Can Bring Back Dolly & Paulie From Fire Country Season 1

Fire Country season 3 focusing greatly on the Leones due to Walter’s diagnosis and his difficult relationship with Vince made thinking back to a time when it wasn’t all about the Leone family difficult. However, when Fire Country season 1 first began, the focus was all on Sharon due to her failing kidneys and need for a transplant.
Sharon’s declining health prompted Station 42 to organize an event at Smokey’s, so that Edgewater residents would test themselves to see if they were a match. This brought chaos in the form of a former inmate firefighter with a grudge against Sharon, but it also introduced Sharon’s sister Dolly and her partner Paulie in Fire Country season 1, episode 11.
How Sheriff Country’s Focus On Mickey & Sharon Can Expand Their Family Through Dolly

Sheriff Country revolving around Mickey’s peculiar situation of being a Sheriff’s Sergeant as well as the daughter of a known criminal guarantees that the Fire Country spinoff will heavily feature Mickey’s family. Coupled with Vince’s death in Fire Country pushing Mickey and Sharon closer, it makes sense that Mickey and Sharon’s whole family could appear.
This can mean Sharon’s mother, who was mentioned in Fire Country season 2, episode 6, but it could also involve their extended family. It’s unclear whether Dolly knows Mickey or even if she ever lived with her and Sharon, as she could also be Sharon’s father’s biological daughter. Still, her being part of the family makes her appearance more likely.
Fire Country season 4 premieres on CBS at 8pm ET on Friday, October 17, 2025, with Sheriff Country following suit at 9pm ET.
Fire Country season 3’s cliffhanger ending hinting at a tragedy looming over the Leones makes Sharon’s wish to lean on her entire family more probable. Vince’s likely death will surely affect everyone in Edgewater, with the Leones and those closest to them being hit the hardest. Dolly and Paulie’s return can offer some comfort.
