Western drama 1923 is seeking to cast two children to be a part of
a scene in Central Texas this month.The Yellowstone prequel is looking for
an infant and a 5- to 7-year-old boy to film a scene as train passengers on September 20, according to a recent Legacy Casting post. This is the latest 1923 casting call for extras since the show began filming across the state this summer.
Fittings for the children will be this week in Austin and the pay is $150 per child. Filming for 1923 will also take place in Austin next week.
1923 shows the backstory of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe, following Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton, the heads of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch in Montana as they fight for survival in the early days of the Great Depression. The critically acclaimed show premiered in December 2022 on Paramount +, earning several nominations in 2023 and this year at the Golden Globes, Astra Television and the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AATA), according to IMDB.
Season 2 of 1923 officially starting filming in Austin in late July and has since shot scenes in surrounding areas like Lockhart, Bartlett and will soon film in San Antonio. Legacy Casting’s Facebook page is the main source for upcoming 1923 casting call information, but you have to act fast since the auditions typically have a quick turnaround for filming purposes.
1923 filming is expected to run from July 8 through mid-September, Legacy Casting owner Andrei Constantinescu told MySA in July.
